Accuracy Passing Under Pressure

Soccer Passing Drill to help with accuracy passing under pressure.

This soccer passing drill will help players with accuracy passing while under pressure.

Setup

1. Create a 20X20 grid.
2. Four players, one in each corner.
3. Two of the diagonal players on the outside each have a ball.
4. Two players in the middle of the grid, one player is the "worker", the other player is the "hurdle".

Instructions

1. One of the corner players with a ball plays the ball in towards the "hurdle" player.
2. The "worker" player jumps over the "hurdle" player and plays the ball to one of the open players on the corner.
3. The ball from the other corner player plays the ball in towards the "hurdle" player.
4. The "worker" player then jumps over the "hurdle" player again and plays the ball into one of the open players on the corner.
5. The "worker" player continues this pattern for 60 seconds and switch out the "worker" and "hurdle" players.

Coaching Points

• Player must quickly get over the "hurdle" and get their body into position to make a solid pass.
• Passing player must play in one or two-touches.
• To work on volley kicks, move the corner players in a bit closer and have the outside players serve the balls with their hands.
