Drill Setup
- Have the team form a circle around you, and facing you. Make sure you are not any farther than 5 yards from all players.
- You will stand in the center with 1 soccer ball.
- Gently toss an underhanded (headable) throw towards one of the player's head.
- Just as you release the ball yell "HEAD" or "CATCH". It is up to the player to do the OPPOSITE. So if you yell "HEAD", the player should catch it. If you yell "CATCH", the player should head it.
Drill Instructions
- Go around the circle a couple times before you start the competition.
- To start the competition, if a player makes a mistake and does not properly "HEAD" or "CATCH" the ball, the player must sit down.
- Only standing players remain in the game.
- The last player standing wins.
