Here is a list of coaching points for passing with the inside of the foot:

  • Body Position: Position your body to face the target, with your non-kicking foot pointing towards the target.
  • Approach: Approach the ball at a slight angle, not straight on, to allow for a smoother passing motion.
  • Non-Kicking Foot Placement: Place your non-kicking foot about 6-8 inches to the side of the ball, pointing toward the pass.
  • Knee Over the Ball: Keep your knee over the ball to maintain control and accuracy.
  • Contact Area: Use the inside of your foot around the arch area to contact the ball.
  • Firm Ankle: Keep your ankle locked to ensure a solid connection with the ball.
  • Follow Through: Follow through towards your target, extending your leg toward the pass.
  • Head Up: Look up before passing to see your target and ensure accurate delivery.
  • Eyes on the Ball: Keep your eyes on the ball as you make contact to ensure precise placement.
